Terms of Use
Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) · Last updated: July 23, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Emerging Leaders Program website (the “Site”), including the Home, About, Programs, Contact Us, and Register pages. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Who We Are
The Site is operated by the Emerging Leaders Program (“ELP”, “we”, “us”, “our”), based in Kampala, Uganda.
2. Eligibility
The Site’s Register page is intended for students enrolled at a partner or recognised university. By submitting the registration form, you confirm that you are currently enrolled at such an institution and that the information you provide is accurate.
Anyone may browse the Home, About, and Programs pages, or contact us through the Contact Us page.
3. Registration Is Not a Guarantee of Enrolment
Submitting the Register form is an expression of interest in ELP, not confirmation of a place in the programme. ELP reviews registrations and will follow up separately to confirm next steps. We may decline or request further information for any registration, at our discretion.
4. Accuracy of Information
When you use the Register or Contact Us forms, you agree to provide accurate and current information. Providing false or misleading information may result in your registration or enquiry being declined.
5. Acceptable Use
When using the Site, you agree not to:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that violates these Terms.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its systems, or data submitted by other users.
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Site (for example, through scraping, automated bots, or malicious code).
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form on the Site.
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any university or organisation.
6. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, all content on the Site—including text, images, logos, and design—is owned by ELP and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and share content from the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes, but may not reproduce, modify, or distribute it for other purposes without our prior written permission.
7. Third-Party Links
The Site may link to third-party websites, including social media platforms. We do not control and are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites. Visiting a linked site is at your own discretion and risk.
8. Disclaimer
The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including as to accuracy, reliability, or availability. We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ELP will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site, including loss of data, opportunity, or goodwill.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Ugandan law.
10. Changes to the Site and These Terms
These Terms currently cover the Home, About, Programs, Contact Us, and Register pages of the Site. As ELP adds further features—such as a learner portal, community or chat spaces, or a full participant platform—these Terms will be updated to reflect what those features involve. We may update these Terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.
12. Contact Us
